Of the various types of flooring, hardwood flooring is considered as one of the most prestigious form of flooring. It is a relatively easy and cheap to buy material, wood, but the finished product is pompous. There are basically two types of wood floors, as described below.
Solid wood: This type of flooring is dried from a single piece of wood, the stove or in the air before sawing is milled. It is installed over a concrete floor. The wood from which it is derived, can be used in three ways, a flat-sawn, quarter-sawn, cut and tear-be. The type of flooring you would like to apply determines the way the wood should be cut. After this process, the wood unfinished, either packaged for a site-finished installation is completed, or in the factory. The manufacturer must also carefully monitor the moisture content, so that the product does not distort during transport and storage. Most solid wood take to reduce cupping absorption bands. Absorption bands are easily cut grooves in the back of the wood that run the length of each plank.
Engineered Wood: This is the type that is used all over the world. It consists of many layers, the upper, visible on the surface. The top surface with a plurality of layers of hard wood coated (typically six) of paint. Each layer below runs at 90 degrees to the above. This makes the material more stable. Engineered floors are divided into even more types. Using a thin layer of veneer flooring with a core of wood which is often a composite wood product. Acrylic impregnated wood flooring, as the name suggests, uses a layer of wood impregnated with liquid acrylic.
The wood can be developed differently from the above options, depending on the needs and affordability of the customer.
Rotary-Peel: The log of wood is first placed in boiling water at a certain temperature for some time. Then, after the protocol is removed from the hot water, it is peeled off with a knife, starting from the outside and gradually extends towards the core. The thus formed is called veneer. The veneer is then pressed flat with a high pressure. The final product will be on the concrete floor on a wood floor appearance.
